Vanessa Iglesias-Machado, M.S., OTR/L
Vanessa is a bilingual licensed occupational therapist. She attended Florida International University (FIU), where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health sciences, a minor in psychology and a minor in health service administration. Her desire to help others and her love for children encouraged her to pursue a career in occupational therapy. In December 2012, Vanessa graduated with a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Florida International University. While completing her graduate studies, Vanessa was exposed to various settings where she provided therapy to both adult and pediatric populations. She completed clinical rotations in a pediatric outpatient clinic, a rehabilitation hospital, and a community center for adults diagnosed with mental illness. These clinical experiences provided Vanessa with the knowledge necessary to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. Vanessa’s goal is to continue to expand her knowledge in the field of occupational therapy and continue to grow as a therapist.
